Consultation on consistency of food regulatory approaches

mpconsulting is working with the Food Regulation Standing Committee to identify key areas of inconsistency in food regulation and the impacts of this on businesses and regulatory outcomes.  We are looking to understand the key areas of inconsistency (within Australia and between Australia and New Zealand) and their impacts in terms of both adverse regulatory outcomes (e.g. undermining food safety objectives, causing reputational damage to the food regulatory system, creating confusion for consumers, creating challenges for monitoring and enforcement, etc.) and adverse outcomes. Sunsetting legislation and the role of thematic reviews

What is a thematic review? Before legislation is due to sunset or ‘expire’, thematic reviews are used to identify whether legislation remains ‘fit for purpose’ or whether it should be remade with adjustments to ensure it can meet current and future needs.  Instruments are often grouped and their sunsetting dates altered to enable a combined review. Public consultation on options for aged care worker regulation scheme

Consumer engagement in aged care - resources released

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) has just released a new resource titled Care that is right for me - a resource for working with aged care consumers.
