Lifting the bar on quality in aged care

By mpconsulting

The whole of Australia is invested in safe and quality aged care that we can have trust and confidence in.

Driven by the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, major changes to aged care policy, programs and regulation are underway. mpconsulting is pleased to be working on these important aged care reforms, including the development of strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

We are looking forward to hearing from older people, their families and carers, First Nations communities, aged care providers, workers and experts in a series of upcoming focus groups about the strengthened Quality Standards. Topics to be explored include person-centred care, provider governance, food and nutrition and clinical care, among others. These discussions will help inform the development of robust and practical standards that advance the rights and wellbeing of older people.

For more information see the Consultation Paper and the Draft Proposed Revised Aged Care Quality Standards released by the Department of Health and Aged Care. You can have your say by making a submission or responding to the online survey by 25 November 2022.
