Consultation open on the Care and Support Sector Code of Conduct

By mpconsulting

mpconsulting has been engaged to assist the Australian Government with the development of a Care and Support Sector Code of Conduct (the Code) applicable to providers and workers across the aged care, veterans’ care and disability support sectors.

Through preliminary engagement with key representatives in the care and support sector, a draft Code has been prepared using the existing NDIS Code of Conduct as a basis. A consultation paper has been released outlining the purpose of the draft Code and how it is intended to work.

We are now seeking input from a range of stakeholders from all areas of the care and support sector on matters such as the language and content in the draft Code and areas where the draft Code may need to be further adapted or adjusted to ensure it is fit-for-purpose across the care and support sector.

Stakeholders are invited to respond by providing submissions on the consultation paper and completing the online questionnaire. An Easy Read version of the consultation paper and an easy to read online questionnaire are also available.

The online survey is open for four weeks, from 16 November 2021 to 10 December 2021. You can provide feedback through the Department’s Consultation Hub.

If you or anyone you know is interested in contributing to this consultation, we encourage you to share the link, download the consultation paper, complete the online questionnaire and/or upload a written submission.

Thank you for your interest!
