Sunsetting legislation and the role of thematic reviews

What is a thematic review? Before legislation is due to sunset or ‘expire’, thematic reviews are used to identify whether legislation remains ‘fit for purpose’ or whether it should be remade with adjustments to ensure it can meet current and future needs.  Instruments are often grouped and their sunsetting dates altered to enable a combined review. Public consultation on options for aged care worker regulation scheme

Consumer engagement in aged care - resources released

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) has just released a new resource titled Care that is right for me - a resource for working with aged care consumers. Five Year Review of the Health Star Rating System – Draft Review Report open for consultation

The Five Year Review of the Health Star Rating (HSR) System is considering how well the objectives of the HSR System have been met and identifying options for improvements.
